Hull City manager Phil Brown says midfielder George Boateng joining without any guarantees.

Brown stated

“No-one guarantees you first-team football. The only thing that can guarantee you that is playing well week in, week out – and that is what I fully expect from George, but he has to get past the players who are already in the team.”

Hull to give trial to keeper

Phil Brown have told his club, Hull City he will be giving ex Everton keeper Tony Warner a free trial.

Brown made two statements and this is what he had to say.

“I’m looking for an experienced keeper to come in and challenge and Tony has been doing that at various clubs in the Premier League.

He’s got a wealth of experience and I think it’s imperative that we carry three quality goalkeepers in the Premier League next year.”

Hull take first pre season match

The Brazilian midfielder who was just signed after being released by Manchester City had leaded Hull to their first Pre-season victory.

Dean Marney scored just after the first five minutes and then great passing by Dean Windass and Geovanni to Will Atkinson for the second goal.

Ryan France could have made it three, on a 40 yard effort but they did score off of a Michael Turner effort.

Former Liverpool and Everton striker Nicky Barmy would make it four off of a header in the 70th minute that would seal the victory for the newly promoted club.
